Is Pobogo free?
The app is free to download and the Today screen stays free. A single payment of $0.99 unlocks everything for life — no subscription, no ads.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and Android 8.0 or later.
Do badges count the steps I walked before installing?
No. Your past history is shown, but badges are earned from the day you install — walked for real, not granted retroactively.
Do I need an account?
No account and no email. Ranking and friends are optional and switched off by default, and use an anonymous identity. On iPhone, Settings has a “Delete my data” option; on Android it arrives with the next update.
Where do the steps come from?
From Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect plus the step sensor on Android. Access is read-only; Pobogo never writes anything back.
Will it drain my battery?
No. There is no service running in the background — Pobogo reads step data your phone already records.
